I recently bought a 2006 1 ton 4wd dually -- man trans The maintenance book calls for lubing the front driveshaft fitting at every oil change. The owners manual says the same --- it locates this job at the transfer case u-joint. I see no zerks at ANY of the U-joints on this truck ...

I am at the same juncture you are -- i want a newer truck , but i am afraid of problems with the new emission system on the 6. 7 ... ... . i am leaning towards the 5. 9 engine. If you can wait a year or two, maybe the "bugs" will be worked out of the 6. 7 ??

Auto Zone has a fuel lift pump for $141 , part #E7153 , that supposedly is for my 98. 5, 24v. I looked at the pump, and while i couldn't do a side by side check, it looks the same. It is made by Carter, and guaranteed for 1 yr. Has anyone used this pump, and is it a "drop in" replacement...
