Thanks ofelas for the reply. I should have stated that the HX-35 was last years upgrade; moving forward with the chase of more HP will have to be with the HX-35 as my quarterback turbo! I have my quarterback, I need to build my team around it! I think my 1st issue is going to be the...
RSchwarzli, Thank you for the reply. 350-400 is just a number, I'm not pulling or working my D250 aka. Lola. I know that that my setup is being limited to around 80 mph tops and Im not getting the MPG that I would like in a daily driver because of the high RMPs running down the HWY.
I read your...
Good point. So I have not dyno'd the truck, so Im not sure where I stand with HP at this point. Will the stock injectors get me to 300-320?(please note, their the 7 mm injectors)
Bob, if I could get to 400hp, with my setup (plus injector nozzle upgrade) I would be ok with a little smoke! lol It's just that I'm a little old school, and believe that "Lean is Mean!"
Let me start by saying, I'm not a transmission guru by no means, but 400 HP in a 727 is not out of reach, Plymouth and Chrysler have proven that. The trouble will be with the torque produced by the 5.9 at 400 HP! I understand, as a minimal, an upgraded flex plate and torque converter will have...
Looking for advice on upgrades to bring my 89 D250 in around 350 to 400 HP.
Let me start by given you some stats: This has been a three year project '89 D250, with completing rebuilt engine (new Cummins head, 7 mm holes) and rebuilt trans (727).
Mods: H&M Fuel Pin (M3), Dynamic Timing Shim, 4...
Looking to update my 89 cargo light; what to add brake/cargo light. I know I saw a article where someone used a Chevy brake/cargo light that looked pretty good. Does any know what model/year Chevy or has anyone seen this article?
Nice! I had a chance about 4 months ago to purchase a tube grill that would have fit, but I wanted to stay with the stock look. Does anyone know where I could locate a set of the original 9mm injectors or maybe a good recommendation for a good 75 HP set of injectors (don't want smokers!)?
"Better Injectors" That is what I'm finding out, should have keep my original 9MM injectors! I'm wondering if I should try to find a old set of 9mm, don't know if the 7 mm will be effective! BSchwarzli were you able to add an intercooler and keep your stock grill?
I purchased a HX35 turbo, with non wastegated 16 cm housing, but I lost out when I swapped out my 9mm injectors with new 7mm. I've made all the normal mods/upgrades on the pump, but my truck is still in the build process so I will not know what kind of numbers I'm putting up until I get her back...
