Oil puddle at inlet of turbo

Ya, I didn't think it was so much of an attack. I included the S&B part in initial post because it was what led me to see the puddle. My post describes the sequence fairly clear, but I guess not clear enough. I started working in a Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth/Jeep dealership in 1976. Spent 27 years...

Oil puddle at inlet of turbo

Thanks, sag2, I will do that, would've went with a dry element, but they were on backorder, and my filter housing was damaged, so it was lesser of 2 evils. will probly switch over to a dry element when they become available.

Oh, and yes, it is a crappy picture. Not sure how many I took, kept getting glare or flash?? every time. Sorry about that

Oil puddle at inlet of turbo

Sorry for the delay, was unavoidable. To answer questions, guess I wasn't clear in first post, the puddle was there when I installed the S&B kit, had wiped it clean at that time. Yes, it is an oiled element. When I serviced truck, 4000, miles later, puddle/stain had returned, pretty similar to...

Oil puddle at inlet of turbo

Hi, I took the plunge last fall and purchased a used 2020 Laramie 3500DRW truck. Finally parted with my 2005 Dually. I installed an S & B air inlet system on shortly after purchase, noticed a very small amount of oil right in front of turbo inlet, not really a puddle, but more than a stain. I...

    Heater grid bolt failure

I recently upgraded my 2005 3500 DRW with a 2020 3500 DRW. Its a nice Laramie loaded truck. The Grid heater thing worries me, as someone else said about bad luck... So being the cheapskate that I am, I chose the B and D kit over the Banks unit. I pretty much do all my own work, even tho my age...

    New code P2281...Please help!

My 05 had plastic tanks, swapped in an aluminum Banks unit before I had an issue. Its still hanging on the wall waiting for me to get tired of looking at it...

    Lost Power

Lordsman. after reading my intial post, I see why you thought valve was still there. Sorry. my bad. EGR valve is gone, but air control valve is still there, just unplugged.

    Lost Power

EGR is not there, but air control valve is, just unplugged. Was wondering if this could contribute to poor performance? Have not had it apart, so not sure of its operation characteristics.

    Lost Power

Thanks, I will look into the MAP sensor. I did stop out at the ranch a little bit ago, just to give it a visual. Started it up and it ran fine at idle, but I noticed when I stepped on accelerator pedal nothing happened. after 5 or six times of working pedal, it then would rev up. I didn't have...

    Lost Power

Fuel and air were just changed again. I will try and get truck this week so I can drive it with scan tool hooked up. That should show something..

    Lost Power

Thanks, Ozzy and BigPapa, that is what I was wondering about. My '05 ran fine when I forgot to turn my FASS pump on one day, and I was surprised how well it ran. In regards to the other "issue" here, I have read posts, on this site, where the person says" I have a truck, or bought a truck that...
