Yep, just ordered a new 06 CTD SRW Mega Cab 4x4 and locked in the zero percent for 60 months. I am not sure I'll get the rebates too, I beleive it's either zero finance OR the $2000. rebate. In any case, I ordered from Richard Bowman at Dishman Dodge in Spokane Valley Wa. for 1,000 below their...
0% is not a gimmick for folks that purchase at or below dealer invoice. I would agree it's a gimmick on the MSRP side of business, however. The reality it that 0% will attract more people from the retail side hence it can be seen as a gimmick and to DC's advantage to market that way.
A paying member, too. Ah, but who cares. Trolling is meerly and indication that there are more stimulating things to do than sit around and correspond on a forum. If I could add value by posting I would, even though there are those out there that only criticize.
Me too. My mistake on reporting the RPMs, on the DR truck. Although if I reported the correct RPMs, I would still be no closer to understanding the issue.
Now I know why the dealer was set on keeping my rig. My '05 3500 CTD 4x SRW less than 15k miles automatic began mis-shifting at freeway speeds, from third to forth, back to third and forth, for no reason at 4500-5000 RPM. Took it in and was told a sensor needs to be repalced. The replaced sensor...
Replaced Steering Box.... Almost Fixed....
Well, after wrangling with the technical prowess of DC and this dealer, they've managed to resolve part of the problem. I took the truck back today, took tech for a drive, and he argued with me that the steering issue is normal "because it's a truck...
update:
Called DC again and said the magic words, "Please send me DC's Arbitration Process for consumers in California" and all of us sudden, they escalated my concern. Called the dealer, with me on the line and I referenced this site...
In terms of speaking with the tech, that was easy...
Steering woes - Update
UPDATE:
Received a call from the dealer working on my truck. I am now told that although they know there's a problem, "when driving, there's nothing visually wrong" and there's nothing they can do, so they're waiting on a formal release from DC.
Before I go off on...
Good point. The mechanic called me today and said the same thing. Reading some of the other posts, I think we have an issue with the steering box---how I would love to tear one apart to see how they work. Thanks for your response, you folks are appeciated.
05 QC, 4x4, SRW, SB, CTD--bone stock, less than 6000 miles. Ordered from Dodge, and it's a great truck.
Irritating problem with steering. Truck drifts left and right just enough to scare the drivers in the next lane over. Pulled over by cop, thought I was drunk or talking on a cell...
