    Oil change intervals

    My "Oil change required" message just showed up this week... 1st time... at 4450 miles. I've been thinking about adding a bypass filter. If fuel in the oil is the determining factor, then a bypass filter probably won't help to extend the amount of miles between changes, will it?

    With 4000 miles on the truck, I'm getting 13 cumulative average... hand calc'd... actually Windows XP/Office2003 Excel calc's it for me. Overhead is always within . 7 of being correct (always optimistic) That includes some plowing, idling around town, 30 mile trips to the ice rink on the 4...
