I physically removed the over flow valve and turned the lift pump on (not turning over the engine) and no fuel flow through the injection pump. Then turned the engine over with the over flow valve removed and fuel sprayed everywhere. Made a huge mess. Then installed the over flow valve again and...
I did that too. There was no flow until I started cranking the engine. Don’t know if that’s what the injection pump is supposed to do. I also removed the overflow valve and installed it and tried it both ways. Had fuel flow when I cranked the engine over with the valve removed and no flow when...
I took off the fuel supply line to the injection pump, put into a gas can, turned the ignition on to start the lift pump and verified I'm getting fuel. It filled up a 2.5 gallon can in a matter of seconds. plenty of fuel. i don't have a pressure gauge so that the only way to verify I'm getting...
need some more advice,
Just recently installed a Fass Fuel pump and I have had many problems with it and I think I finally fixed the problems but my truck still won't start. Started looking at the injection pump on my 97 12 valve and could the Fass Fuel lift pump actually cause damage to the...
Yes I did buy the wrong oil pressure sensor at first but genos garage replaced it at a discount for me. So it’s actually plugged into the harness and it still doesn’t work. Need to figure it out. Thanks guys
I have a stock 97 Dodge Ram 12 valve Cummins. when i bough the truck it had some weird aftermarket fuel filter relocation kit that was mounted to the intake horn. I didnt like it so I deleted it and decided to go with the Fass system not only to make servicing the fuel filters easier but also...
Hello all,
Any one know where I can get a engine wiring diagram specific to the 1997 Dodge Cummins? I have looked at Google Images and I cannot find anything specific to that truck.
My oil gauge stopped working in the dash when I replaced the power steering pump and broke the old sensor and...
There could be several issues your facing. There is a return valve on the fuel return line on the injection pump that is a serviceable item. And, the stock fuel supply and return lines at the fire wall area is prone to leaking and letting air into the system. Unfortunately the trucks is getting...
I took my alternator out and had it tested at a local automotive alternator and starter rebuilding shop. It was defiantly bad. Like i said before I don't know it the Fass pump was a direct cause of the electrical problem but once I got the alternator installed and new batteries my truck still...
Just and update. Just called Fass Fuel to ask some questions and they basically belittled me. Just a word to you all out there. NEVER buy a Fass product. Way to expensive and not worth the headaches.
Hello all,
Just curious if anyone is unhappy with their FASS Fuel system in their 12 valve? I recently installed one and i have had nothing but problems. Had to replace half of the fitting and replace O rings on the pump it self because of leaks. My charging system just took a ****. Truck...
