    Transfer case shifter boot.

    I have a new 2005 3500 CTD 3. 73 Auto and i've noticed that my transfer case shifter is sqeaking. It shoulds like a rubber bushing is rubbing against bare metal. If I hold the shifter it goes away. My question is how do I remove the shifter boot. I've looked at it, and can't see any screws etc...

    Squeaky transfer case shifter

    Have noticed a squeak in my new 2005 CTD DWR truck. I have traced it to the transfer case shifter lever. If I put pressure on the lever it will disappear. Putting it into 4H and then back to 2H helps for a little while. Any suggestions?

    Is this normal in tow/haul mode?

    Just purchased a new 2005 CTD 3500 DRW 4X4 SLT AUTO 3. 73, to use for pulling our 5th wheel. One thing I've noticed is that when in TOW/HAUL mode when the transmission down shifts, it's like the transmission slips momentarily then locks in. I'm thinking this is the torque converter locking, but...
