I hear you on the "adult beverages"! There are always a few around while working on my truck. :-laf
Do you have the original Airdog or version 2? I am keen to know how difficult it is to upgrade the in-tank module with the Airdog II.
This question is for anyone who has installed either a FASS or Airdog system. Have any of you had issues with trouble codes appearing after disconnecting the factory in-tank lift pump or do these systems use the factory lift pump wiring to prevent such an issue?
Darrenf, according to my dad this issue has gotten worst in recent times. Since we live in an area that is mostly warm year round I do not think this is related to temperature.
My 06 exhibited this same issue but since loading the Smarty it has completely disappeared. I know there is a big...
I drove the truck yesterday with my dad in the passenger seat and I figured out what he is describing seems to be the transmission gear hunting between 3rd and 4th gears. Every time the truck shifted into overdrive it began to buck slightly. This usually happened under moderate acceleration...
We do not have a fuel pressure gauge on this truck but we do have a low fuel pressure warning light from Blue Chip which has never indicated a low fuel pressure condition.
He is now saying that it happened twice today just after the truck shifted into 4th gear (O/D). Which makes me think the truck is gear hunting (3 to 4). He serviced the transmission recently but has never adjusted the bands. I think I am going to drive the truck tomorrow morning and see if I can...

My dad's 02 is once again experiencing surging / bucking after the truck goes into overdrive while driving normally with no load. The truck isn't showing any codes, has a new VP44 and has a new output shaft speed sensor. It also has a fairly new fuel filter. He doesn't notice this at any other...
