Same here. We have a '94 Carri-lite with rear kitchen and wouldn't have it any other way. The myths about breaking dishes are from the people that don't pad the shelves and separate the glass pieces by alternating with plastics or softer stuff.
by the way, if you're lookinig for a good used...
What do I love about my truck???
For starters, it not a chevy or ford.
Then... ... ... . it has a a good power curve (but a smarty wouldn't hurt)
Lastly, the chicks love it - even the wife wants to go everywhere in the truck.
Did ya get the parts yet? I have a couple of complete (but cracked mirrors off my truck. I'd be willing to give you them if you pay shipping.
I took them off my truck after I made some errors in judgement and cracked the housings. THe glass is still good in at least one and the motors /...
Aside from all these fixes, mine decided to puke the pacbrake compressor. It would still run, but the reed valves were so worn they allowed the circuit to reverse.
Fixed it by buying a 12 volt compressor from harbor freight and wired into the same lines as before - but this time, added a check...
let's see here,
I've had the electric fuel pump installed - mechanical failed at 106,000 miles , as usual.
both ball joints and all tie rods replaced - just normal wear and tear on our wonderful wisconsin roads.
All U-joints and center bearing - because I could and they really needed it...
I'll second this post. If you treat your truck like crap, don't complain about it here.
I have spent many dollars on replacing items like the lift pump, front end components, u-joints and bearings, the list goes on - but it's all maintenance items. Oo.
Kinda makes me wonder too if the...
***Update***
After having the pleasure of worrying about my truck for the last 4 days - and making some short trips - the death whine and clattering has come to my differential. It's not too bad for now, so I'm gonna have to limp it home and then tear the rear-end apart.
I'm thinking that a...
KOA in Wisconsin Dells, Wi - owners and stafff are awesome and they cut us a deal every year because of multiple stays.
Dane county Parks in Madison, Wi area - $20. 00 a night with water and electric, plus access to lakes / rivers
Florida state parks - just because it's not in Wisconsin
After replacing all the u-joints and the center bearing, i pulled the fiver 75 miles to work and then to a campground. It really sounds - and kinda feels - like a u-joint issue.
I'm still getting the clunking sound when loaded with the RV and especially when turning, the only thing I can come...
This sounds a lot like the problem I was having a few weeks ago. THere was a rumbling sound and feel from the driveline. I checked the rear-end, oil good and no leaks. Did a couple of searches here for related problems and it sounded like the u-joints.
Replaced all the u-joints and center...
I know that after putting the cheap ($39. 95) air horns on my truck - which are well hidden, but effective, I have had good fortune with getting people to notice the other traffic.
As for legal, I'm not sure. But I did use it last Thursday night in the middle of nowhere to see what the time...
