My 06 is on turbo number 3 at 28k on the odo. I have experienced bearing failure in each one so far. The truck is stock.

OH ya you can hear it, like marbles bouncing around in a tin can, RDyson has it right, it's the turbine wheel, so it doesn't go through the motor, just goes out the exhaust side.

My 06 turbo failed also. It was completely stock with 9K mi. They replaced the intercooler, turbo, and all the hoses, there was metal and oil throughout. I need to go back because I can hear metal bouncing around in the perverter too. Has anyone else had this problem? The dealer said mine was...

I have experienced the same on my 06 although no engine light. I read there is a bulletin for unusually long crank times and involves a reflash of the computer by the dealer. I believe the tsb is listed on this site.

I replaced fuel filter yesterday. The weather was heavy rain, 45 deg. Will go and pull codes today at my buddy's shop.

Lost power towing on freeway pulling 12K LB toybox, limped on shoulder at 10mph with something like a door chime going off until all it would do is idle, then it quit altogether. No CEL or idiot lights. All gauges indicated ok. Had it towed home, then started it up and seems to run fine now...
