In my experience, "Perform Service" means its time to change the CCV filter. I believe on 19's, that comes up in the mid 70,000 mile range. Is that where your mileage is? I have not seen that message come up for diagnostic codes. I suspect it's two separate things, i.e. the Perform Service...

Not very much DEF at all compared to normal driving. DEF is used to convert NOx, NOx is created in high combustion temps. Combustion temps are not that high when idling.

Frequent slow, stop and go traffic increases regens as well.

Ultimately, a winter front makes your cooling system less efficient....which is what you need in cold temps when the engine is not working hard.

I use one on my 2015. It makes an unmistakable difference in not only operating temps, but the speed at which the engine gets up to temp.
