Love my Jr. Haven't tried the 100HP setting yet because there is no need really. Plenty of power on 70HP. I don't hear any timing rattle, very little smoke. Great product!
I believe the 2004. 5 models and newer have the cat to make them 50 state legal, (Cummins600) no more seperation from california trucks. I also think they rate the trans. (manual or automatic), at the same HP/TQ level. That used to be two different listings also.
You can't go wrong with Smarty Jr. It's good reliable "safe" power designed for stock trucks. I absolutley LOVE mine. But with anything that modifies power on these trucks, you got to be reasonable with the right foot. Being foolish with that much power can and will do damage. But thats also...
I also thought they were shipped with the latest programs. When I received mine I took it to the truck followed the instructions and installed the #2 program (Towing) and everything worked perfectly. Truck runs fantastic! I didn't do anything with the computer or any downloads, didn't need to...
I have an 04. 5 and I could usually see close to 30 lbs stock if I put my foot into it. Now with Smarty Jr on level #2 and a 35 lb boost gauge, I can easily bury it past the 35 mark. I think Jr on level 2 is quite impressive.
