I guess I probably should've said acquaintance instead of friend. He offered to fix it but only if I brought it to him at the dealership. For what they'd charge for the repair that's going to be a big NO.
On my 98.5 24 valve I have to refill my power steering reservoir at least once a month. A friend who is a Cummins technician for the local dealership told me that my hydroboost is bad & causing the reservoir to puke fluid from under the cap. Can someone advise if this sounds correct? When I do...
I replaced mine with the Mishimoto back in 2016. Be cautious though because it is 100% aluminum so electrolysis will be an issue if you don't check and make sure all your grounds are good. Mine developed 2 pin holes after having it for about 15 months due to electrolysis. I filed a warranty...
I have been having a Similar problem. About every 3 weeks I'm having to add half a quart however I think my pump is puking it out from the cap. I cant find any other leaks. Any ideas on what may be causing this?
Well, I fixed it this afternoon in about 30 minutes. Turns out you can reach it if you remove the glove box. So glad I didn't have to tip the dash down again just to reconnect the cable.

When I had them replaced I don't know what brand they put on but I stuck with Moog this time. My truck is a daily driver & I don't tow at all so I couldn't justify the cost of the Dynatrac.
Well it's time to do ball joints again, only 5 years out of this set. Just curious if anyone has used the Dynatrac HD rebuildable ball joints & how you liked them & if they're worth the significant difference in cost over the Moog? Their website states that they're rebuildable without removing...
