The EVIC screen on my truck has gone black, everything still works on the truck except for remote start, I had just started up truck the screen was up and shortly after start up it went black/blank. Is there a fuse or rely I can check? Or am having to bite the bullet and toss yet more money at...
Don't believe its the tires nor their ratings, I expereinced DW with "E" rated tires. The tires were Dic Cepek FCII 35x20 running with a 6 in lift. I checked everything under the front end... found worn out bushingsd on the trac bar, replaced and have yet to experience DW again. I am currently...

Over the many years of lurking in, not only this but other forms, this has to be the best post I have ever read! Facts hurt, most don't want to face em. Seen too many yahoos flying up and down the highways pulling their monster "5ers" some pulling tandem(boats/ATV trailers). Hell even had one...
Had truck in to warannty balljoints R&R, had them change transmission filter and top up fluid as it was coming due. Well they over filled by a quart. took truck back to dealer, where they pulled excess fluid. My transmission temps run empty city driving 130deg. Temps are now running 180-200deg city driving...
which shock should one go to?... oem or aftermarket. aftermarket shocks one brand better then the other? doubt it. if your into offroading getting air hen you install the correct suspension system ie Carli or Kore etc... these kits usually include new coil springs, leaf springs and (key thing...
Temp probe is in line to cooler, same as always... concern is temps were reasonable before having transmission filter changed, now with the overfill incident and band adjustments, temps have increased by 20-30deg F over?
2 weeks ago had truck in to replace ball joints (warranty) as I had to "leave it for the day ... real busy" I asked to have the transmission filter changed and adjust bands. Well got the truck back later that day, noticed higher temps on transmission with city driving. Normally runs 150 to 170deg F empty...
With the load you have on the truck and at that speed those would be very normal numbers.
I used power from the cigarette lighter and found a good ground under the dash. As for back lighting, go to your headlight switch wiring and using a test light and with lights on, look for the "dash...
engine oil analysis will tell you lots... ie fuel in oil.
hows the oil level... is it climbing up the dipstick?
most have real black oil, even shortly after an oil change.
mine is always black even with byass oil filter and synthetic.
since you gotta pull them out to upgrade to 50hp injectors(nozzles/tips) and truck is down. why not pull them send them out to have new nozzles installed the shop will test each injector and will tell you if you need to replace any. could just be that your nozzles are heavily carboned up? 50hp...
2WD, if I didn't need 4WD for work, I'd grab a 2WD with training wheels anyday, better mileage and with todays fuel prices, I believe 2WD will fetch better trade-in dollar then a 4X4.
