Finally got it out,5/32 drill bit. screw in a 2. 5 " deck screw,twist turn swear!! attach small vise grips(apply large amounts of penertrating fluid) small pry bar, push in out twist turn swear,2. 5 hours later its out. rust was built up outside o ring. relife at llast hammer marks in door...
Upon more swearing ect it appears that it may well come out past the dip stick have got it turning,but in the process have broken the head of it off, stupid place for the dip stick none the less. Must really get rid of this pile,tis nothing but a money pit!
My wonderful repair manual seems to have left out a few things like having to remove the starter and how to get the dip stick tube out of the middle of the sensor,not to mention the fact that the stupid thing will not budge. More fantastic fore sight on a marginally desinged vechile,any wonder...
Coming home last nite the check engine light come on,pulled over and checked al fluids ect. fine, seem to run alright to get her but when i slowed for the stop sign in began surging(engine rpm up and down) but seems to stop if i slip it into neutral?? have not got to look at it yet this morn...
Looking for a place to pick up power that comes on when the truck is running so far no luck,don't need much low fuel pressure light and a relay to run the aux transmission cooler manually, or some one to buy this whale so i can go back to my ancient fords!! thanks leo jr.
he's got the head off ,and the machine shop says the head gasket was definatley on its way out. Thanks for the insight, hopefully he's got it under controll,should know in a week or so!! leo
My freinds 98 12 valve has used about 3 quarts of anti freeze in the last 2-3 thousand miles, can find no external leaks, he removed the head and don't see any thing glaring, and for 180thousand + looks great. any suggestions?
Switch checked out fine, but what i found was if the radio stays on, I hit the windshield wash and it gose off at least till the next run cycle, may be related to the malfuntioning intermintint wiper mode. Have not had time to tear into it yet???

When i shut the truck off the radio stays on,and the relay in the dash fuse box clicks. Removing the relay dose not shut the radio off,but if you manually shut the radio off the relay stops clicking. What ever is going on drains the batteries so that it barley starts in the morn. this has been...
