    Another transmission thread

Well well well! The NV5000. I had no idea this existed until now. Just released for sale in late August 2024 according to their website. Timing is everything in life and this transmission release and my need/want to fix things looks to me like good timing. I'll pony up and give it a shot...

    Another transmission thread

Hey all. Sorry to start yet another transmission thread but it's time for me to do something with my truck and I'm hoping to not spend good money on bad parts and was hoping for a little feedback from the forum. 1998 12 valve. 180,000 miles. 5 speed manual NV4500 (previous owner told me 5th...

    Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Mr. Bob's Silicone

I'll run the truck later today and hammer down and report back what I'm reading and how my gauges are plumbed. Like I said before, kinda new to all this but, absolutely love my truck and I am eager to learn more about her.

    Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Mr. Bob's Silicone

    Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Mr. Bob's Silicone

I'm thinking of upgrading engine intake and cooling hoses to silicone and went over to look at Mr. Bob's website and the site is down. Google just shoves me over to an account suspended page. Bummer. Alternatives to Mr. Bob? Anyway............provided I can reach Mr. Bob, are the hoses worth...

    Another LED question...ugh

Well..................good news everyone. It was a faulty brand new in the box flasher. I just put in a "branded" Novita flasher and everything works as it should and no more hyperflash. The "non-branded" EP27 flasher is going in the trash.

    Another LED question...ugh

Thx for the replies @Tlmd32 and @petersonj In normal operation ignition must be on to operate the turn signals. I get hyperflash on the turn signals with the stock flasher with ignition on. Emergency flashers flash at the correct rate with IGN ON or OFF. With the new flasher, the relay...

    Another LED question...ugh

I know this topic has been covered over and over and I apologize in advance for bringing it up again, but I can't figure out why I wasn't able to solve my issue on my own. Simply put, I changed out the rear taillights to LED on my '98 and of course got the hyperflash so I replaced the flasher...
