WOW; I'd go higher than everyone else, but I'm w/o first gen currently so my desire for another has crept up over the last 5 months. Is it ext'd cab? If so, I'd easily go $10 - $12k. Much more than that, and you can find nice 2nd gens so resale would be difficult.

I had my stock drag link break with the 1" springs installed. Could have been caused from a number of things, but a new drag link isn't so bad... spendy, but safe.

Isn't the 820 the Lance Lite 815 with attached "skirts" for the SB models? If so, that is a narrow, fairly light camper if it is not loaded down with a ton of extras. I ran a Lance Lite 835 w/ ext'd bed area in my '93 W250 and was right at the GVWR, and well within rear axle & tire ratings...

I think slide in's are great in a budget application, but some of those that are $25k+ almost would push someone into looking into a class C motorhome. My Lance Lite 835 works great, was inexpensive, and the truck handles it like its not there. Love it!

Carl, Nope, couldn't afford a diesel of any brand this time around. Got a new '04 Chev gasser crew cab for $24k. That's still a lot of dough, but the new diesels were well over $30k. Plus I took a new job, and I'm only 8 miles from work, instead of 70 miles from work. So it works for now...

Most folks say the 2nd gen rear seats are too big. They use rear seats out of a ford ext'd cab (fit best). There's a guy on DTR that did this, but I can't find his post now. He sold his truck now too, so may not even hang out there anymore. Good luck. OBTW, don't want to sound like the...
