So since engine oil temp and oil pressure are just calculated values, does that mean using any OBD2 reader will give you the same values since there isn't a sensor in place? I don't plan on adding any sensors or anything yet until I'm out of warranty. Until then, I plan on keeping it stock.

That's what I was thinking. I have the connector that came with the truck, I think I'll look for one to cover the tailgate end of the connection since i won't be taking the tailgate off.
