Well may sound kind of odd, but I had the same noise under the same situations. Then I went off-roading, where I got the suspension really working. After that the sound went away. I know it sounds starange, but I don't have the noise any more.
Count me in. I'm in Phoneix, so it's a long way away, but a trip to Texas is realistic for me. I will keep checking this post for further info. Good job everyone, for pulling together and showing what this site and group is all about. ;)
I got my gauges from Geno's, so I gave them a call. A Tech. guy said to do what I already planned on doing, which is to undo all the connections, clean them up and reinstall. He said this isn't uncommon. I will let you guys know what happens.
Thanks fella's.
No I haven't. I thought it started working, but it started acting up again. So I think I will try to work on it this weekend. I think the best way to approach this would be to basically uninstall it and put it back paying real close attention. Let me know what you do and what you run into...
rbattelle- I set the cruise at 60-65, might be kind of high for hills. I don't know. I would think the engine would know what gear/speed would work best.
NIaacs- I see what you are saying and have noticed something like this when towing, but this is the reason I put it on cruise. Again I...
1Tufdsl I hear ya. I was in the same boat for a long time. I finally just did it and I like the new found power, but in the end stock works just fine. It really does. I just have to get it back to "truly" stock.
Phicks. I understand what you are saying in your posts about the total weight. The problem is that I put the Power Pup back to stock and I'm still seeing these high temps. If the truck is really stock, then I shouldn't see so high egt's. As you can see the other members are reporting lower temps...
Sorry guys, I am not able to check the site often. For this trip I put the Power Pup back to stock. I have heard that the stock program does not really bring the computer to "true stock" programing.
Hey everyone. I tow a 26' toy hauler that weighs about 8500 lbs. up a 6% grade going up north to the Flagstaff area. I've towed with out gauges and the truck did fine. Now I have gauges. I put on the cruise control like I always have, but this time I can see that my pyro shows 1500 degrees. I...
Congrats! I bought DiPricols from Genos Garage. They have good prices. The good thing about these guages is that they look like the factory gauges in your truck, so they look like they belong, know what I mean. I also used a pod that goes on my dash. I didn't want loose the a-pillar handle so...
Yes, I checked all the connections, but I will check the probe and see what is happening there. Anyone else have any other ideas? Does anyone know if when these guages go bad they just stop working or what usually happens, I know it's a wierd question. Thanks.
Hello everyone. Need some help/suggestions. It apears my pyrometer guage has stopped working. I've noticed that it doesn't read the same temps it did before. This past weekend I towed my toyhauler, going about 70-75 and it read 300-400. This doesn't seem normal. The needle still moves but it...
We have gone to Buttercup a few times, but we made it to Glamis for the first time the weekend before Thanksgiving. Man, I can't wait to go back. A lot of people out there. I also liked "vendors row", but I guess that only happens on big weekends.
Hello everyone. I was snooping under my truck just for the fun of it and I discovered that I have an oil leak at the rear of the engine block. Small amounts of oil is dripping from the rear two bolts of the oil pan. I checked to see if they were loose, but everything checked good. Has anyone...
