    my ctd ticks mostly at idle

    I know this is probably a dead thread, but did you ever find out what caused the tick? I have a '98 with a tick exactly like you describe (bought it with 100K on it, and the tick has always been there - someone told me it was valves, but the Dodge dealer said it may be a bad lifter) thanks...
