Installed a replacement egr cooler bypass motor, a used unit obtained on ebay. P245 problem solved.

These egr cooler bypass valves are only available from dodge stealerships. I am not sure if available directly from cummins. You have to replace the whole unit, egrbypass motor with the control cables attached to the elbow casting with the flapper valve. Too pricey $$$ to buy new.

I had a close look at the wiring harness and the connector pins, all appear in very good shape. I measured 12v at pin #3 (key on, engine not running) on the connector. I removed and cleaned the soot off of the egr temp sensor, and egr pressure sensor. Put in a new air filter as well. P245A came...

How did your installation go? I am also considering a manifold swap for a BD two piece manifold. My 09 2500 (not deleted) has developped an exhaust leak after 75,000 miles. Taking apart the egr system to get at the manifold is a pita!
