I think the yellowing and discoloration is on the surface only, and polishing the surface can restore it. However, when you polish it, you remove the UV protective coating.

When I received my Retro HID...
Make sure to tighten the bolts to spec. I can’t recall the specs, but I believe they are on the Thuren website. It is pretty tight. If you don’t get them tight enough you will get a pretty loud thump when turning the wheels that is kinda hard to pinpoint. I had to retighten mine.
I third the retroshop hid replacements. They are certainly not cheap, but Jeremy was good with answering questions, and the light output is phenomenal without blinding other drivers.
Ozzy is right. I got a pair of retroshop HID headlight assemblies. They are so much better than stock. It really is a completely different driving experience at night. No one flashes me either, so I am not blinding everyone else. They are around $700. I had a clear bra film wrapped on the...
