I had the wiring harnes in this^^^area short against the head... turn the key on and wiggle the harness... . the grid heater solenoids will click if there is a short to ground... just a thought
'94... . yeah your right 2nd gen... . but there are two different grid heaters that I am looking at for sure... . (not stuck on)..... persay... . its like them engineers made two separate manifold plates for these things... ... . perhaps one is more so designed for case etc... . thanks for the info.
I am mocking up some parts on a 94' 1st gen head... ... for my 97'. .
does anyone know if the grid heater from the 94 will work ?
I'm building a complete air intake system but the factory heater for my 97' is integral to the manifold whereas the 1st gen has what looks to be a separate...
Just to update..... I managed to locate a prior prick test on the leads to the ESS. . which had caused slight wire degradation... so I fixed that and had a glimps of hope only to have it slip away..... actually I started up the ESS wiring harness and found after the connector but befor entering...
OK. today when I started the truck the " wait to start" light didn't come on but the truck started... . the gauges were going crazy... . and when I put it into gear the OD button did not illuminate... . The truck started in 3rd and was real lazy... Grid heater was not switching off... volts were...
Great info... ... . can anyone tell me the micron ratings for these filters and at what percent? I cant find any info on the internet... . and am looking at a re-useable filter system... . they use these on top fuel racecars and have one specific to the cummins 5. 9 but on another thread someone...
