Makes perfect since when you say it. I have had trouble with power equipment when the take up fuel line get cracks in it and the the fuel level gets low.
Why do you think so many guys say that by replacing the fuel return line remedied their problem. Maybe cause they replaced more than just that...
Hey GAmes,
That is a good write-up I found that myself kickn around in here.
I have not had any problems since the trip. Now that I think about it the terrain that I was in, I am really starting to believe that it is in the draw-straw, if I understand the anatomy of the in tank unit. The reason...
Yes, your right. I have heard the same about the fuel lines next to the firewall.
I sprayed down the engine with some diluted Simple Green and rinsed it off to get a better look and to check for any leaking fuel around the preheater or hoses nearby. It started up this afternoon without much...
Well the want to do list is running into and crossing over the have to do list.
My idle seemed to have fallen off after adjusting it a 2nd time within 12-16 months so I adjusted it a 3rd time on Wednesday. This has started me thinking if there is a problem with the lift pump, the throttle...
SAndreasen,
Checkout David Magnoli's article in Issue 73, pages 44-51 on 'Harmonic Dampers' as well.
When mine bulged it was bulging from the inside, where it sets right-up beside the timing gear case, so no way of telling until you remove it. I think KLcammie mentioned the same location.
SAndreasen,
I wrote a post awhile back "What a wonderful mod", it was in reference to the Fluidampr that I had installed about a year ago. I have tried to research it from both sides of the isle to get a rounded viewpoint. Here is some info I have come across. I am not stating my opinion with...
I could give a thousand examples of what this mod has been like for my truck, but I will make it brief.
After installing the Fluidampr, It was like the bolts holding the crankshaft had been tightened down to spec, the oil was now 15w40 weight instead of 0w5 weight and the motor mounts had been...
I have a manual 4x4 transfer case lever and I sometimes I have to pull back on the lever, firmly, a second time to engage the 4wd, but I don't recall any noise coming from the front-end.
On a separate note my 4wd failed to engage because the vacuum tubes connecting to the actuator had been...
All vacuum operated components are fine. This was a lighter whistling sound not the normal turbo whistle. I had disconnected two vacuum tubes while changing the filter, but secured them after the change. The whistle has subsided for now, but I did recheck the vacuum connections again.
Hey Bob, what is the year and mileage and any modifications. There are can be a slew of reasons for white smoke, air in your fuel sounds most likely if it goes away. This could be from any holes or cracks in your supply line or your return line. Your overflow valve. Any noticeable loss in power...
I spoke to a mech and the latest thing to do when servicing your transmission, changing the filter and fluid, is to make sure the transmission cooler is flushed or replaced with an aftermarket cooler. This is because the OE cooler's design traps debris inside. The aftermarket filter has a better internal...
Just today on the way to work, a light whistling noise has developed, but only under acceleration. The whistle sounds like what you would make blowing across the top of your teeth and only something noticable to the person that drives it. (One of 'those' sounds)
I have no mods other than a...
