Get a new seal installed and be done with it. Be sure and use a qua seal and not some offshore cheapy... My dad would tell you to put a little sawdust in the diff and forget about it...
So, this isn't so complex... Whats inside the receiver that is interfering with the fitment? Perhaps sand/grit? Why not get in there with a long screw driver and figure it out? Seems like a waist of time to go to the dealer with this until you know what the trouble is..
Hottest I've been able to get mine is towing in the mountains, 13k pound 5ver behind me, temp was 94c (201.2F). I think you have an issue if you are seeing high temps like that unloaded.
Verify that your downloading the phone book. Simply look up contacts on the U connect screen once you are connected via blue tooth.
Next step, unhook truck batteries for an hour to reset the Bluetooth module
I thought I had the double press but learned I wasn't waiting long enough. On the colder mornings I'm waiting up to a minute when I press the button and only 30 seconds on remote start. I also learned that I can remove my foot from the pedal once I've pressed the button.
That rules out speech characteristics. So the next step is to test the trucks Bluetooth with another phone. Can you borrow a friend or colleagues device to test with?
More importantly, my comment relates to the OP in that A.) I have the same truck B.) it is implied that as I commented about air bags, I was suggesting that I don't care for the shocks either and have been considering airbags to mitigate compression or preloading of the shocks while under load.
Dude, thank you for your post. And while I understand my post is related to rear end suspension, and not specific to shocks as the OP mentions, your comments appears to be related to your mood. So I ask you, how does your comment relate to the OP?
