I am considering changing to a Mag Hytec when I do my first rear end fluid service. I have heard that sometimes there is a clearance issue with the spare tire. Has anyone had this issue?
Thanks in advance.
Aaron
The manual says 15k service interval. This sure seems excessive to me.
I am at (or should say a little over) the first service interval, and see that they also recommend the front differential for service also.
I have plans on putting a Mag-Hytec or something to that effect on so that I...
I too run the EB all of the time. You hit the nail on the head, It always happens on light throttle, and never when I have my travel trailer on the truck. What a disappointment... .
Maybe I just need to change my driving style.

I was always told it was the soot.
My 01 would be jet black within a couple hundred miles, never used one drop, and never had a problem with the engine the entire time I owned it.
I think its normal. I wouldn't worry about it.
I've noticed that my 6. 7 seems like it takes longer to start then my 5. 9 but I'm talking the difference between 1 second for the 5. 9 and sometimes 2. 5 seconds for the 6. 7. I would sure hope that you are exaggerating on the 30 second deal. I'm no mechanic, but dude, if it's taking you 30...
