Very nice installation. Be happy to hear how you like the unit after some time with it. Been thinking of upgrading my stock CD player, but can't seem to give up the nice little volume and track control buttons on the back of the wheel yet... ... .
Time well spent on your rig.
Do you know why not? Advancing timing, if not done too far, should be additive, but not necessarily bad if not excessive. I just don't have any technical specs to know how much exactly each contributes.
Anybody have any experience with stacking these on an 01 or an 07 (5. 9) ?
Also, I haven't used smarty by itself, only Juice on an 01. I've played with the two together just a little and with my 110 injectors - very smoky for regular driving with very sensitive throttle inputs causing total...

Don't know about swapping whole brake kits out for different set-ups, but I can tell you my experience with EBC yellowstuff pads on the front discs made a very noticeable improvement in my braking compared to stock (now 20k miles with them). I have drums on the rear (early 01 2500), so for a...
Find an authorized dealer for dynatrac in your area and get their free spin hub kit - eliminates the unit bearing and are unbreakable, plus you'll probably pick up about 2-3 MPG. I have these on my 01 and am very very happy with them. It is worth travelling a little to find a good reputable...
I'm running a FASS 150 system and it works like a champ. I just returned from a 6500 mile trip from NC to Utah/Arizona/Rockies for 4 weeks and pulled 10,000 lbs over many many big mountains - FASS 150 no issues. If you are going to be towing over high altitudes, your line pressures will drop...
Forgot, what about brake upgrades? I would think with a 19. 5 wheel, a really nice big brake set could go in there to help haul the beast in.
Anybody done it or seen it?
Peter,
I nearly ****** myself reading your message. I know a few of the big knife crowd - like you said. My SEAL friends are a lot less obvious - guess that's why they get so many bad guys and spend less time talking about it!
Thanks for all the info. I may just take the plunge. Sadly they...
A friend of mine installs stereos, he said the dodge is a DIN and a half size - not a single DIN or a double. Haven't had him do my truck just yet as I was waiting for a new system that can do nav stuff too.
Check the major manufacturers websites for their newest products as the car...
I have an MBRP 4" turbo back with the included muffler - sounds awesome, but does not have too much noise - just a nice low growl to it. When towing a 20 ft trailer, I don't have any droning problems. In my old F-350 that was striaght piped, drone was clearly audible throughout RPM range.
I...
JoeMc,
Thanks for the detailed input. I am looking very hard at the 305 Terra Grapplers - I think they will fit my wants and needs well.
Still trying to decide on the look of the truck wheels? Mild or wild?
And size - 17 - 18 ?? Also, any thoughts on the 19. 5 or 22 sizes? The trucks...
So Rotella ain't what it used to be?? Is that what I'm reading? I don't know the difference in the letter designations - will try to find that review in the TDR editions that I have - only a few. If anyone can explain further, I would enjoy the education. Seems like ther are a lot of good...
I am researching transmission options right now as that will be the next thing to be upgraded - the smarty stack may happen at the same time (if it pans out that what I think I understand is mostly true). Trying to understand all this stuff is complicated, but very interesting - and sure is fun smokin...
