    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) At what mileage has your VP 44 died

    It died about every 35,000 miles. I bought the truck in 2001, it had 42,000 on it. Drove it for 3,000 miles, and the first one died. Next time it was around 76,000 miles. Last one was at 105,000. I now have 161,000 miles, and so far, so good.
