    Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Camshaft endplay

    I was wondering if there was any maximum endplay for the camshaft? the camshaft in my engine broke and while putting the camshaft back in with the timing gear flush with the snout of the cam i have ~1/4" of back and forth endplay. is this too much? it seems like too much and the dowl pin wont go...
