    Power Steering O-ring repair documented

Thanks 100Proof for the Write-Up. This was my problem too. It saved me $280 (What my local dealer wants for a pump for my 05 RAM 3500). I ran into one Major Set-Back though. The bottom T-25 Torx bolt would not come out becasue the PS pump Pulley was in the way. I thought about removing the...

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) G56 conversion compleate

Nice Job KKuntz, I was wondering about dropping the crossmember a bit when you said the floor would need modded. Nice to know it is only an inch, that is easily livable. Nice Job, Time for me to start saving my $$ for a G56. Thanks!!!!!!!!, I think I'll Keep my 99 for another 200,000, At least!

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) G56 Conversion????

Yeah, I know the G56 has lower OD. But, Price and Parts availability is Looking worse for the NV5600 every day. There has to be a reason that DMC switched to the G56. I think that reason is $$$ Cost less. And I bet there was something to do with they wanted to get out from under (Partnership) w/...

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Nv5600?????

My memory is correct. Found this site in my book marks, http://www.drivetrain.com/nv5600.html The 1999 1/2 and 2000 0/2 NV5600 6-speed has a 1 1/4" input spline shaft. Starting in January or so, the revised NV5600 gets a 1 3/8" input spline shaft and a heavier clutch with a 1 3/8" bore...

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Nv5600?????

My memory is the early 5600 has the smaller input shaft size?. . the 01... I believe it was either 02 or 03 that they went to the larger size input that was used all the way up thru 2005 till they went to the G56 in 05. 5. my $0. 02.

I too am wondering how long my 4th NV5600 will last, First dropped 5th, Second and third NV4500s were Standard Transmission and gear remans and broke the input gears. Now running the original nv4500 that dropped 5th rebuilt buy guy up the road. I too am wondering about swapping in the g56... But...

    2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Dana 80 Rear Differential

I change my diff fluid every 100K and add the appropriate addative. A guy in my four wheel drive club had the same problem, He said it was sounding like a Detroit locker in the back it made so much racket. The dealer had forgotten to add the friction modifyer the rear limited slip calls for. I...
