Asking for HELP from BD Tow Loc Users

I to run the towloc and BD brake and only use the green lite position when towing. I see no reason to use the red position as it puts trany in lock up. As a suggestion call BD and talk to Pat or Dave they are located in Abbotsford B. C. and can give you the answers you are looking for.

    exhaust brake dilemma! should I?

I had a problem with the original installer not following directions and setting codes. I was on vacation up there and they squeezed me in. (Remember your passport) I was quite impressed with their technical support team, Pat and Dave, and Blair the service manager. Pat and Blair solved the...

George, Did alot of research with trany shops and also talked with John Holmes at Carson Dodge. All said the same thing change trany oil at 15k, install a valve body and TC. I visited BD last week and they install hundreds of brakes on 04. 5's with the towloc. Bought a valve body which is being...

Can I use RTV as Pipe Thread Sealant?

The correct method for installing teflon tape is to wrap the direction of the threads three times making sure the first three treads are covered. Pipe dope, or thread sealant such as Rectorseal or Gasoila is first stirred then can be applied over the teflon tape. Use sparringly, then apply and...

    EGT's ARE HOT!!!!!

I'm completely stock except for gauges, I run I-5 to Seattle 4 times a year and also pull Donner. At 17,500 lbs I can easily reach 1400 degrees, and would probably go higher but using common sense I take my foot out of it and bring down the temp. Regardless, weigh your rig and your trailer...

    EGT's ARE HOT!!!!!

Let's take a look at this in common sense mode. Load your truck as if you were heading out for a weekend, and head to a scale. We are looking for "wet" weight which is full of fuel, driver, passenger, kids, dogs, everything you put in that truck will be sitting on the scale. More than likely you will...

    )4.5 Seats Suck Eggs

I started this thread with hope there would be an easy repair. My 1998 CTD seats broke down and I repaired them from a members great article in the TDR. After the fix they were the most comfortable seats I have ever sat in. I will disassemble my 04. 5 drivers seat this week end and see if I can...

    )4.5 Seats Suck Eggs

I can't believe how uncomfortable these seats are. After a good 8 hr day driving, my legs ache from the seat pressing against the back of my legs. On my 98 I removed the cushions and re-stuffed thanks to a members article in the TDR. It seems the fella's at Dodge cut some corners and shortened...

    Trany temp sensor install Question?

The tapped port on the side of the trany is the trany oil temp on it's way to the cooler. Go to your dealer, ask to look at the service manual and read it for yourself.
