John, I thought that the breather filter would probably still make a mess so I was planning on removing the filter and plugging the hole, then use the other 3/4" barb to run a hose down to the transmission pan area. I will route the hose coming from the breather fitting up and over the intake...
That Fleetguard kit looks awesome...except for the price. I just bought a breather tank that has 3/4" hose barbs and plan on routing the hoses similar to the TSB 09-002-02 breather hose routing...
Well I would not say that the bleed hole does not move any tangible amount of fuel. If you were to hard wire the lift pump and run some fuel at the stock lift pump pressure through that orifice I bet you could fill a coke can in a couple of minutes flat. I would even bet that while cruising on...
Well it has been a rough first six weeks since buying my 02 from a friend and co-worker! The transmission, lift pump and injection pump all took a dump! Got the lift pump and VP44 changed and was planning on building my own transmission, but I could not find a core for a decent price to build...
I just bought my 02 about six weeks ago and it was completely stock with 128000 miles and original lift pump and injection pump. I knew it needed a fuel gauge installed and could use a new lift pump just because of the age and mileage. So I ordered a fuel gauge and Fass LP, but the Fass went...
Thanks for the info cerberusiam, would you happen to know what brand input shaft was the culprit? Also looked at the warranty info on Garmon's site and it specifically says they do not cover shaft breakage, since these are "race parts" I assume no one else does either.
As far as the stage 2 or...
Were these broken input shaft issues and associated warranty issues specifically related to the Garmon transmissions? I did some reading and found that DTT had some break in their transmissions. Garmon is now making a largeer than stock diameter input shaft and special converter that is a free...
BAD NEWS !!!! While driving the truck last weekend it seemed that the transmission was slipping a little when the truck was cold, but was shifting fine. Once the truck warmed up everthing seemed OK. Leaving work monday I could feel the transmission slipping while pulling out of the parking lot...
Got the new OEM transmission pressure transducer and Borg Warner transmission pressure solenoid in this afternoon. I removed the return line from the cooler and ran the engine with the trans in neutral to drain the trans and torque converter, got about 10 quarts of old fluid out. Removed the...
Got my aluminum pan with drain plug in today. Hope to get the rest of the parts tomorrow. I will report back and give the results. Thanks for the help so far.
I drove the truck today with the code reader connected and there were no codes set or stored in memory. I ordered a new governor pressure solenoid and governor pressure sensor since they were inexpensive. May try swapping them this weekend. Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks John, the truck usually does start out in second after the engine has been shut off and restarted. It starts in second more often then not, but it does occasionally start in first gear. I have not seen any check engine lights, but I will try and drive it tomorrow and check for codes with...
