hard to see but it looks like the icon for the intake heaters. Mine acts this way: push the ignition button to run, and it sits there for 2-8 seconds depending on how cold it is, it goes off, then the truck fires up. The icon goes off before it starts and stays off. I have never seen it come on...

Mine seems to work fine and stays within 1 or 2% of the oil filter life. I have never seen it jump or decrease by any amount.
