I also have 96 3500, bought a backup motor completeley rebuild and is waiting at a excellent repair shop for my present one to crap out. after 960,000 miles I dont think it will. I might be interested in selling the motor. what it needs is a donor motor for some parts like turbo, in manifold and exhaust. I believe they call it a long block. my price would be around the 2,500 mark or so. stormy
