Okay, finally got an app to link up with the OBDII reader (Car Scanner ELM OBD2 for Android), but it won't/can't find the ABS module (or other individual modules).
Might have to find someone with a professional domestic scanner, unless a VCDS HEX-CAN cable or OBDeleven Pro will do it (don't...
Understood.
I'm going to go out to the truck and plug in the generic tool I have on hand right now, see if it can access the ABS menus.
The app I'm using is Torque Lite, is that generally effective on these rigs?
This is my first Cummins, but I'm not new to working on vehicles. I come from...
Also wondering if I'll need to bleed the ABS pump itself with any kind of special tool, and not just pumping the brake pedal like a normal fluid flush?
Like I said, I'm just going to replace the pump. I'm off to work out of town next week, no time to wait for a module repair. If they go bad as often as I've heard having a spare will come in handy. Was thinking I'd just have the one I pull out sent away for repair and I can either keep it for...
Looking for any tips or tricks, things to keep in mind when replacing the pump. Is it straightforward or are there any things I need to keep in mind?
Right now I am under the assumption that I can just R&R the old pump with the new one, flush the brake fluid/bleed the brakes and I'm good to...
Normally I'd update right away but I forgot! Sorry about that.
Just wanted to check in and say that I found a decent price on a wiper and linkage at a local wrecker/parts recycler. Once I had the cowl off it wasn't hard to see what the issue was, the motor was rusted like crazy (or the...
I actually watched that same video (and the one he made prior to it), going to use that as a guide to check the fuses/relays and make sure it's not the stalk/switch. I'll try spraying some moly lube while I'm at it, good call.
Definitely not the grid heaters, as they're slow all the time...
Thanks!! Nice to have somewhere to start. Quick read through has me thinking it's not the ECM (the 'Wait to Start' light doesn't come on while driving) but I'll see what I can find out.
Tried searching, didn't find any info.
Wipers are really slow. Only way to get them to return to the bottom (when they finally get up near the top of the cycle) is to reach out the window and give the wiper a slight pull toward the a-pillar.
Figure the motor has gone bad, but thought I'd ask...

I've searched but haven't come up with much in the way of solutions. The few threads with similar issues weren't what I've been experiencing. Hoping for some insight as to the root cause(s), or at least some spots to start diagnosing.
At idle the truck will...
