I am not sure how to explain this. Had a new set of tires placed on my 2500 (stock rims) and it sways something fierce. They replaced the front brakes at the same time. Driving in the rain and towing, I thought it might be the tires not gripping the road, but experienced the same feeling of poor...
Are those the phantom II gauges? I just had someone put 1 gauge in mine- not the two series- pyrometer and wanted to switch it out to the II series as it looks like it will match the stock gauges better. I heard that the phantom IIs are a bit bright and one needs to install a separate dimmer...
what about BD
I have hear BD mentioned a few times. but not too much has been said about that brake. I am looking at the pac vs the BD. Any opinions greatly appreciated.

recommendations for an exhaust brake
Any recommendations for which exhaust brake to put in my 2006 2500 Dodge. I am looking at the pac Brake. Installed locally. The Dodge dealer up the road recommends the B. D. Opinions?
not sure i would do it again
I started upgrading my truck by getting it to breath better. AFE2 and 5" exhaust. No gains in mileage and perhaps a tiny increase in HP. If I were to do it again, I actually might start with a chip/download and change out the muffler only. Might then change the Air...
i am in your spot. looking at the hypertech for mileage and the smarty jr. seems people LOVE their smartys. just got a note back from a hypertech user who seems to like it but plans to move to a smarty when he gets the $$$$.

most interested in mileage

follow up
thanks loads for all of the information. I never did realize a mileage gain. Not at all. At first I thought maybe it even dropped, but if I am lucky I can get into the 18s mpg. Being a stick and lots of highway, i think my mileage suffers ebcause fo the gearing. (why dobn't they may a...
which chip or programmer
I have a fairly stock truck (see profile), have a 5" exhaust and AFE2 air filter. Believe the next step would be to throw in a chip or program it? Looking for recommendations. I would like to get the use out of my current modifications. Some say edge juice with...

Thanks for all the input. My G friend had convinced me otherwise. I had dropped off the truck today before reading these replies. After reading your replies, I called up the place I dropped my truck off this AM, yes really, and the muffler had already been sawed off!!! 'What thet heck- guess I...
I am sure this is a question heard often, and maybe thought too simple, but I am a new diesel owner. I have a 2006 Dodge RAM and am considering doing just a few modifications. I am more interested in efficiency than power, although a few extra horsepower would be nice. I have decided to start by...
