Voltage & OEM air suspension problem.

Thanks guys and that's what I believe. The only thing that causes me some doubt is that the cranking of the starter was strong and the Ram started right up. Usually a battery on the way out will have that slight hesitation before the starter turns over.

Voltage & OEM air suspension problem.

2017 6.7 CC Aisin OEM Air suspension cold weather pkge- about 20k miles on the truck. The temps in for the last 4 days ranged between 15-25 F. Yesterday I turned the key to start the RAM without preheating. The crank was strong and the vehicle started quickly. The msg "service air suspension...

15,000 mile service on my 18

2017 SRW CC 4x4 6.7 - 4 oil changes via the wheel well with tire removed, using the Geno oil filter wrench and the billet aluminum oil filter cap. Oil filter filled 1/2 to 3/4. No oil spilled at any time. Very light oil coating on oil filter gasket and the filter cap is LIGHTLY tightened so it's...

    AUX switchs

Wiedawg - I am interested in your onboard continuous duty air compressor. I take my 2017 CC 3500 with a slide in camper out on the beach and air down the tires to about 20-25 lbs so this might be an option for pumping them up when I come off the beach.

    DEF in Fuel Tank

When I had my boat (gas powered) there was a company that would come to the marina to "polish the fuel in the tanks." Over the lay up period, the alcohol in the gas would attract the moisture in the air and the company supposedly filtered to the micron level. If i still have their number I'll...

    New Recall V06

My 2017 is on the recall list. Just checked and did not find any play in the sleeve or jam nuts.I might install worm gear clamp on the drag linkage tight to the jam nut and stripe the nut to see if there is any movement.

    Transfer Case Failure x 2

2 low mileage blown transfer cases???? As many have said there is more to this case than meets the eye. Some of the possibilities are as follows - 2 defective transfer cases (very likely), mechanical defect in the vehicle somehow manifesting in the TC (possible), defective original TC and...

    Radiator Anodes

2017 Long Horn CC 6.7L Aisin SRW It's been cold here, I have the cold weather package so I have been plugging my Ram in 5 hrs before I start it up. Question one, are there any anodes in the radiator that need to be changed out? Question two I have read a number of posts about recalled 220...

changed the oil at 6000 miles boy was it dirty!

I don't believe that there are any articles or studies that correlate damage to engine/turbo components based upon the variable of the "blackness" of the oil. IMO oil analysis is the gold standard in determining if there is a problem or not.

    DPF Regeneration Question

2 ways to address your concerns. Buy an OBDII (about $40) and download OBD Fusion ($4.99) onto your smart phone then go to this thread ---- “New” 2018 2500 Ram. One of the members here has created a user define PID that allows you to anticipate when the next regen will occur. If your DPF is...

    Rant (feel free to ignore)

I wonder if they will find any broken/loose mounts.

    regen frequency

For those wanting to know when regens are happening and much more such as DPF capacity follow the link. Previously used Torque but found this app much better. One of the members here shared his PID about DPF capacity and it is outstanding...

“New” 2018 2500 Ram. No way to monitor EGT & Regen

Thanks for this valuable info esp the DPF capacity PID and also showing the example of the DPF REGEN STATUS. Some questions -- I have a 2017 CC 6.7L 4x4 , I assume the DPF capacity PID is ok with my vehicle. The warning makes me very leery about causing a problem with a user PID. Also EGT on my...
