First off I want to say I understand that one can't generalize when it comes to talents or character of the people invovled as I know that there are good and bad people know matter what we would discuss. My only problem is that they give the customer no faith at all in their abilities when they...
I think that if dodge would actually train their people to be mechanics and not parts changers they could actually diagnose problems and make customers feel better. I don't think that anyone is so stupid to think that aftermarket parts that add power don't shorten the life of parts but for the...
You might want to check the rear u joint as I had it go out and after I replaced it I think that I bought it with it bad. I think I recall a lot of other people having the same problem.
I had mine checked at freightliner and I believe that they said it was 12 inches of water. Mine was 8 at idle and 88 before they even got it run up all of the way.
Well I replaced the oil pressure switch last night and drove it a little while. I let it idle and went through several restarts with a couple of short trips and so far so good.
Ok I just had motor rebuilt and I started it and let it idle a little while and had the pressure drop to zero. I can shut it off and restart and the oil pressure is fine. I never had this problem before. I do not hear anything different.
I have only seen the main bearing for #4 and it only has wear to one side and does not go all of the way across. No discoloration at all. Defenitly not a usual wear and even the dealer agrees on that.
No Oil I went into this with a little to much faith in Chrysler and didn't cover my butt. When I asked the dealer if they had taken a sample they said it was against policy. I guess that smoking gun for both parties made it to the bottom of the river.
MPerez it is the dearlerships contention...
Yes we have looked at the engine and that is our complaint because they are not giving a reason as to the failure of the bearings. The entire intake system looks as if it just came out of the box. As for the block it has a few visible vertical scratches yes damaged but not extreme. Like I have...
Ok just got back from another meeting. To my amazment I was told that their is not any paperwork and that there was just a verbal and that this was common practice. I just can't believe that Chrysler would not cover their own butts.
I got to look at the inside of the air cleaner and wow I...
Well we will see this afternoon if anything changes but I get the feeling that they are just going to try me and see if I will take this to court. I am going to go and use this meeting as an evidence gathering session so that I may hopefully plead my case at a later date. I just can't get over...
Just talked with chrysler customer service on the phone and after they contacted the dealership was told that he would have the service rep explain it to me again like I am an idiot. I also got customer service to come out and say that they are accusing the air filter. So know I want an answer...
Yeah they are aware of that as I have always taken my truck to them for oil changes and service. That is one of the reasons I felt safe taking it to them because I knew them and thought that I would be delt with fairly. Through all of this all I want is an educated answer. They repeadetly tell...
