    getrag same or not

    Hi all, Is a first generation getrag 5 speed two wheel drive transmission the same as the 4 wheel drive transmission except for the tail housing?

    speedometer backwards

    The speedo feed is at the back of the transmission as normal as I can tell it looks like a stock speedo hook-up. I contacted a place in oregon and they are sending me a reverse gearbox. Thanks for all the replys.

    Hi all; I have a 87 chevy crew cab I put a 90 cummins in this truck. My speedo is mechanical and it runs backwards. 70 is 35 and 35 is 60. Any help would be great. The transmission is a getrag 5 speed.
