No. Watch the videos on ram grid heaters.. I live in the north I disconnected it to see if it would start -4 it started. I will not connect it as you already know. Unless you want to rebuild the engine.
I have read up on a disaster waiting to happen, The grid heater bolt gets up 500 degr and melts the bolt and in falls into the engine causing the engine to fail. read that some replaced the bolt with titanium or tungsten bolt because they need the grid heater for extreme cold weather. single...
the edr is also choking out the engine. A lot. Some stated 8 to 14 mpg increase when they removed it. One tread said it can zeroed out through the obo outlet and when its time for inspection just remove it then plug it in after. So I'm just researching.
I just bought my first diesel. I have a 2017 4th gen 6.7 2500. found out that the EGR is an evil corrupt. Can it be zeroed out by a tuner then put back for inspection. Or do I have do a delete. Where I live I don't think they do a full inspection on exhaust as further south they do as you live...
