Somewhere on this website their is a Report from Research Laboratories Inc. regarding testing of diesel fuel additives or you can google "Research Laboratories Comparison of Winter Fuel Additives 10-2015" to find it.:)
Methylcyclopentadienyl manganese tricarbonyl (MMT or MCMT) is an organomanganese compound with the formula (CH3C5H4)Mn(CO)3. Marketed as a supplement to the gasoline additive tetraethyllead to increase a fuel's octane rating. The additive is also very effective in reducing smoke and particular...
I am sorry nobody got in touch with you, in some cases I try to respond via e-mail and my e-mail is blocked and without a phone number I cant get in touch with them. Randy
Yes I do! Just did an HFRR test for a trucking company who is now my customer. The result from the fuel HFRR test from there supplier was 720um, ASTM spec is 520um and a pump manufacturer says 400um is the number you need for lubricity. This doesn't represent the norm but I shared 10 HFRR's with...
Additives are designed to improve the combustibility of the fuel. Engine manufacturers design there engines using a good quality fuel that is controlled at testing time. It has a high cetane number and good lubrication. They do not take in affect that you might be buying a fuel that has a low...
Hello everybody this is Randy from Indiana, sorry it took so long to get these results but our labs busy season had started and i had to slip it in when I could. So i tested a Kendall GT-1 two cylce oil bought from Hires auto parts and compared it to our TDR-S product. The results are as...
I am a custom blender and those numbers on HP sound extremely high, but it is possible if you have the right situation. Anything is possible if you find vehicles in rough shape or find a high responsive fuel. To give you an idea, I have customers who say they have gotten a mile more per gallon...
How old is the fuel? You could have degraded fuel and when fuel degrades the cetane number lowers over time. The better the Cetane number, the better startability of your vehicle.
You are correct if you are running at least a 2% bio blend you should not need a lubricity additive and you can run a 2% blend year around without any major gelling issues. Compatibility issues were somewhat do to high sulfur contents and those concerns were taken care of when we were mandated...
