Thanks for the reply. I took of the gear cover and found the gear timing was of by 2 teeth. Its working good now. Again thanks for your help.

I just replaced the tappet gasket . I had to remove the pump , lift pump. and fuel filter also vac. pump . Now truck will only start with throttle all the way open but does not run at full speed then it dies out. I checked the gear time on the gears and it is on the money. Im thinking pump lift...
