How much have you spent on your Cummins to drive 100k, 200k, or more?

Just a curious question on how much anyone has spent on their Cummins to get 100k or 200k or more miles out of it. Myself I am on my last truck and it appears if you just change the oil, air filter, fuel filter, oil filter and keep it greased it should last a long time. There are many owners...

    New truck lessons learned

Yes 32 gig will be the largest at the moment as FAT32 is the only format supported. You can take a larger USB or even SD card if you have the reader and format the device as 32 gig FAT32. I have done this on several Rams and they work fine. You just lose the extra storage capacity is all.

Tire air pressures 2014 Ram 2500

I can say on a 2014 2500 that 65 pounds in the rear will not turn the light on or warnings. However at 60 pounds it will turn on the warning light and prompt you in the dash on the EVIC. 55 pounds in the front also no problem. I have had it as low as 54 without warnings in the front. However I...

WHOOOO HOOOOO!!!!! finally official eco diesel 1500!!!

I just want to add my experience when I was on the fence with this. I went to my dealer and drove two Jeep's that they got in on two separate occasions with the diesel engines. They are only installed on the high end models (almost 60k sticker). For me, they had just enough power to move with...

Tire air pressures 2014 Ram 2500

Stretch, Here is the story on that. I to have a 14 2500 with the pressure you mentioned. Ram has coded the 14's to comply with the DOT rule which is maximum air of 60 and 80 pounds since the load is unknown. I have been to my dealer and they spent two hours trying to find a way around the...

Has anyone been able to set the TPMS below 80lbs in EVIC 2014 2500

Okay here is the story as I know it. I spent part of the afternoon reading part 49 of the CFR to see what I could understand on the TPMS rule. Seems the rule is TPMS must and only has to use the original maximum psi for the tire since the load for the vehicle is not known. Thats truly the long...

Has anyone been able to set the TPMS below 80lbs in EVIC 2014 2500

The programming according to the dealer has changed for 2014. However seeing that the front can be at 60 with no issues there has got to be a way the rear programming can use the same set points as the front. 60 pounds is all the front calls for with the factory Firestones. This is also on my...

Has anyone been able to set the TPMS below 80lbs in EVIC 2014 2500

Hi All, I purchased a new 2014 2500 CC 4x4 last week. When I took delivery there was 80 lbs pressure in all 4 tires. As you can imagine it was a wild ride home 165 miles away. Wondered all over the road. When I got home I lowered the pressure to 60 all around. I tow nothing at all. The door...

What is a better way to buy

When you bargain for your purchase price, keep this in mind. Purchased a 6. 7 Mega-cab, 4x4, dually, 2007 model. List $52025. 00, sold for $43240. I have not had good luck with mine, talked with few dealers GMC, Ford, etc. , and even the dealer I purchased from, and best trade in price was...

Injury with Catalyst full, time to give back

I see a great bunch of loyal Chrysler/Dodge owners who Chrysler/Dodge do not care about. If even just one person would prove to anyone here that someone other than DodgeChrysler said "put that part on", I promise I will never say another word on this topic.

Injury with Catalyst full, time to give back

Not wanting to offend anyone, this evening the same problem occured again. Cat full, see owners manual, truck dies. I called for a ride from work, and called the dealer. We'll see I guess. Now, the EPA does not build, manufacture, plan, warranty, or anythig else for Chrysler or Dodge. This...

Injury with Catalyst full, time to give back

Thanks Cat, I never had one in mine either, and was never told anything like this, or even signed anything to this effect. I did however after the last issue, in January, just days ago, tried to trade my Dodge back to a GMC. I was offered 28k for the truck with 3500 miles. The truck...
