Arrived today, January 2, 2024 for our 2018 2500 located in Maryland. Zero details who done it and why. Total guess is NOX levels are too high in some States or maybe all?
That's most certainly true. The bottom line is something caused the txfr case to break. My sense is the transmission might be the problem. Probably never know.
So far so good. Only have 550 miles on it. Only pulled a 10 ft no-till grain seed drill locally. No issues. Planning on a gooseneck trip up north soon. Fingers crossed!
Update: FCA bought my truck back via the dealer. Thought I'm still dorking around with the dealer and FCA on the paperwork. The dealer short circuited the buy back process. I didnt know this at the time, but FCA hires a third party to negotiate the terms. I just gave the dealer the title...
Kinda defeats the purpose. I did use this technique on the second txfr case failure. Heard the initial gear grinding and accelerated a tad to take the load off. Worked for a few miles until a big downhill.
Yep. The dealer was looking for a 3500 w Aisin reg cab and couldn't find one... This cc is rated for 17, 160 lbs. I'll never see that. So I settled for this. If it breaks I'm getting a Ford
