BD power built my trans(it was a package with valve body, clutches, torque converter, pan etc, 5 years ago and it has put up with my hp and torque without a whimper, and still is insanely strong. Electrical gremlins are at fault here, not the trans at all. Build your 47re, you will be happy. Mine has been great and I am not happy having to pull it out, but my truck has to be reliable, it makes me money. I will keep you guys posted as I have received a lot of help here!

I am having the problems you are having with your auto trans. Unfortunately, I'm going thru a divorce right now and just bought this truck so I can't spend alot troubleshooting the trans. Mine is also slipping in 1st and 2nd and I think this trans is on it's way out. The shifting is erratic and driving me crazy! You mentioned that your trans is well built, what have you done to your trans? I have been thinking about getting the heavy duty rebuild kit, torque convertor, and valve body from Suncoast. I just want to build something that will be reliable and will stand up to a little towing. I'm sorry to hear you've had so much trouble with your truck. I know it can be VERY frustrating! Please keep us posted on your trans swap. It sounds like it may be a better way for me to go too. Take care.
