I will take a look thank you sir, and yes, I have a ISSPRO gauge teed into the factory sender location. And I have the PID on my edge also. But when it was first ran I had a mechanical gauge on it as well and all read within a pound or two of each other.
Nope, see them this color a lot from the machining process when they build them. As long as the bearing surface is in spec and has no damage let it rock.

Parts washer solvent overnight - blow em out with shop air after next day. For customer stuff we usually just replace unless we are in a bind for time, don't really see a lot of plugged lines cummins/cat/detroit stuff mostly on the older Isuzu 6HK motors.
