Hi guys, Finally getting around to installing the Gen III hydros. It all looks the same as my Gen II set up?! I am having a hell of a time getting the master cylinder to lock into the firewall. Any tips?? The G56 is still doing great! I love the even splits between gears. Seabee

I have the Spyntec kit on mine. I really like it and was due on one front unit bearing at the time (136K). I think my kit was $1500.00. I HATE unit bearings and am WAY old school, so it was any easy decision. Also, I will never sell the truck, so it's a long term investment for me.

Interesting. Many times when I first set mine, it will accelerate 5-10MPH over set speed. Sometimes it will keep accelerating! I have to hit the brakes, slow down, reset and see what happens. Sometimes it takes around 8-10 resets before it settles down. Lately it has been working well, so I hope...

Well, FINALLY got the front driveshaft back! $475.00!! That did include a new tube and complete rebuild with new joints, so I'm not as surprised with the $$. I need to install it and make sure all is well with the 4X4. I don't expect any issues.............

Well, I got back from Ohio a day early and decided to install the trans. I spent a few hours fabbing up a plate for my floor jack to be able to do it by myself. The hole in the plate is for the nub on the trans bottom to sit into. By installing the trans mount, it was able to drill two holes...

That is good news. I ran the stock hydros on the NV4500 SBC clutch. You could feel a little more pedal pressure was required, but worked great. I know I need to put on a new set up soon, especially with the truck being nearly 26 years old! Hard to believe.............
