My '14 doesnt heat up too bad, with the exhaust brake on and set at High Idle. Nothing beats my Audi Q7 TDI Daily driver though... It has an auxiliary electric heater to heat the cabin until the engine is up to temp. That would be very nice on these pickups! My 05 Cummins was the slowest...
Change your rear end fluid... My 2014 has done the exact same thing twice now... Has to do with the fluid braking down. At about 35K miles I took out the factory fill fluid with the shudder symptoms and put in Amsoil Severe Gear... 35K miles later shudder came back... This time I put in Mobil 1...
Mine was welded up on saturday... They found it to be loose. They also found the track bar mounting bolt was loose... Truck drives much more solidly now!
Hey yall,
Time for new shocks on my truck. I do have a ranchhand bumper on the truck, so looking for a better shock than stock that can handle increased weight.
2014 Ram 3500 4x4 DRW
I am due for a rotation almost... about 12k or so since last... I get what your saying... makes since... but wouldn't I get the same putting the fronts on the outer dual and move the outer dual to the front? That is how I have done in the past.
Seriously wondering if the extra weight of the...
Hey guys...
On my 14 dually, I had the toe set to the 1/64" spec as per I had seen on this site when I had my new Cooper AT3's installed. That worked great to eliminate the wear on the outside edge of the tire.
Now, the truck is at 60K miles, roughly 20K on the tires and I am seeing bad...
Has anyone else noticed an increase in regen frequency since they had the S87 recall done? My '14 truck used to only regen maybe once ever 3-4 months (I know when it regens from the CTS insight display). Truck now has 63,000 on it...Recall was done at around 55,000 or so.
Past summers when I...
I would agree, go with the 2013+ trucks... They improved the frame also in those models (may have to go 2014 to get the frame improvements on the 2500???) DEF is a non issue, better milage, and the trucks use substantially less EGR than the Pre-DEF versions.
Interesting, I just had to replace the CCV filter on my '14 too! I didn't see any of the Milky looking material but the filter was completely saturated with oil, and I was starting to see oil in the intake tube.
I just turned over 57,000 miles.
Hello all... I find myself terribly confused and caught in the middle.
Back in December, I hit a deer with my 2014 Ram 3500 Cummins. The deer pushed the middle of the bumper in enough to damage the intercooler, radiators, and such. I took the truck to a body shop I had used multiple times and...
I took off the factory Nexen's at 46,000 miles. No issues with them at all, other than the fronts were gone on the inside edges thanks to Ram's wonderful alignment specs. The rears had a fair bit of time left... likely 20k more anyhow. I replaced with my go to truck tire, the Cooper AT3... On my...
So I removed the cab light referenced yesterday... the factory used this sheet metal nut inserts that proved to be the problem. The design of these Inserts is such that when the screw goes thru they open up the tabs on the backside holding the nuts into the roof... except if the tabs are bent in...
Just an update... I think I have found the cause of my leak... The second cab light in from the drivers side is loose on the roof.. I can push down on the back of it and you can see the gasket under the light is not tight against the roof as it moves up and down with slight pressure...
