Yea I can tell you the proper air filter was not the silver bullet ram was looking for. Archoil I think is the only thing short of a new dpf that helped with regen frequency.
Maybe it has to do with intake air sensors are so finely calibrated to a fault to supply air/fuel mixture ratio that anything other than the parameters they were calibrated with sends them into a spiral? If fuel/air mixture is off the truck runs sooty and plugs up the dpf causing more regens…Ram...
Speculation was focused on the air filters with the glue strips early on in the investigation into the frequent regen issues on the 22s, there was tsb’s about making sure the proper filter was installed. There was a drive re-learn for lack of better terms for the map/maf and air filters when...
There is residual. I recently decommissioned my def and as part of the tank/injector/line cleanout process I blew out the line from the tank end to the injector end and there was definitely some left in it.
An interesting def shelf life from the big blue oval...
Mine has used some on the longer duration oil change intervals. Mostly towing in the hilly northeast. The way some 22’s regenerate and MAKE oil, I’d rather the inconvenience of having to add some instead.
Can you reflash the factory tune yourself? If you can I imagine the cel will pop because many things are no longer connected but maybe it will let you test drive to see if it drives normal. Just a thought, not sure if great idea or not….
Did you spend any time with the truck and new turbo before installing the delete tune? I wonder if it didn’t upload properly or it’s a poor quality tune. It does seem turbo related like the veins are cycling open/closed when they shouldn’t be.
