Just had the Cummins forum procedure done at Carson City Dodge in Nevada. They had tried before and could not get the warning light to go out. Gave them a copy of the post and it worked perfectly.
I am still undecided on he best way to use an IPOD in my truck (04. 5 with the standard four speaker CD/cassette). Has anyone used the Harman Kardon drive+play? Is there an auxilary connection that you can plug in or do have to use it totally in the wireless mode? Thanks
I have a 04. 5 with the the CD and cassette tape player combo. I am thinking of buying an Ipod. What is the best way to use it in the truck? Do the FM transmitters work well? Any ideas appreciated. Thanks
Dave
I aslo understand that increases the relaibility of the compressor. According to John Holmes at Carson Dodge the compressor does not get much use in the winter which leads to premature failure. According to John a dramatic decrease in compresor failure has been achieved.
It is kind of a sharp grab and release. The truck is almost new with 7k on the clock. I have not noticed any signs or symptoms of warped rotors on the truck.
We are just back from a Reno to Northern Montana to Reno run. Our 04. 5 was flawless and towed our 27 foot Alpenlite without breaking a sweat. The only problem we encountered was on the way back the trailer brakes began grabbing and releasing when applying the brakes. The controller is new...
Fallon Auto Mall in Fallon Nv. They really did me right when I had a Powerstroke with dying transmission. I have bought cars from them for years now. Always honest, upfront, and no BS.
I guess everyone has an opinion. I owned a powerstroke and I absolutely love the quicker steeering-even when towing. I think the Dodge is just a better driving truck-period!

I installed one on my 2004. 5 about a month ago. Installs over the cowling and installs in about five minutes. It seems to help with the odors and the dust is defintely less. So far, so good.

Thanks Casey I got the diagram. No the belt has not shredded. I just want to ward off evil spirits. By carrying an exrtra belt (not much good if you do not know the routing scheme). I am hoping to avoid a problem. Someitimes I travel in some fairly lonely territory.
Thanks Dave
Look like they forgot the sticker on this truck. I looked high and low-no where to be found. Anybody have a copy the can e-mail at -- email address removed --. Truck is a 2004. 5 with a/c. Thanks Dave
On the last two trucks I owned (non Dodge) there was a schematic of the serpentine belt routing. I do not see one on my 2004. 5 CTD. Where can I find one?
Thanks Dave
